The Sacramento area has some of the best sushi in the country. Close proximity to the ocean and farm means fresh ingredients, but it’s the area’s skilled chefs who make all the difference. The best sushi in Sacramento is found everywhere from traditional sushi bars to fusion joints serving up sushi burritos and poke.

Stellar. Inventive small plates, and a nice combination of fancy rolls and traditional sushi. Huge selection of alcoholic beverages, including Japanese microbrews. Best chirashi I've ever had, with generous slices of fresh fish, served with special, house-made wasabi on a bed of well-seasoned sushi rice.

Love Sky Sushi! Met a friend for dinner, our waitress was so kind not to rush us. We had a lot of catching up to do. What better way than over a glass of wine and some excellent sushi. I always seem to add a crunch ebi roll every time I dine there and it is always great. The Naughty Cowboy was excellent (top with thinly sliced jalapeños). The sushi is always fresh AND at a wonderful price point. A relaxing sushi dinner was just what I needed. A+

I'm glad Lou is back and doing his thing again. I had a great meal here on a Thursday night. Ordered English cucumber to start off with it was coated in a nice ginger citrus dressing, very crunchy and juicy -fresh flavors.
Next came some nigiri, ordered Ame Ebi and sawara. The ame Ebi was super sweet some of the freshest ebi I've had. The sawara was great as well, very buttery, soft, and packed with flavor it was garnished with thinly sliced onions. Next came wasabi San roll- tempura green onions and tuna, topped with hamachi wasabi sprouts and kizami wasabi. -roll was very fresh and lively (thank the real wasabi for that) the tempura green onions were so good I could probably eat those as an appetizer by itself.
Then the ame ebi heads came out ! So crispy and delicious this is a huge plus for me as ame ebi is one of my favorite things to eat.
I finished off with Aji and a miso soup (I'm a huge mackerel fan) this aji was freshly deboned right in front of me and omg I'm so glad I ended with it. Complete unami flavor explosion garnished with grated ginger and scallion.
Check out southpaw if you want some fresh sushi and friendly service.

This is such a fun spot to grab a bite after shopping or a movie. The atmosphere was upbeat, the wait staff was attentive and cheerful. There is such a wide variety of food choices, you can be safe and go with your sushi favorites or be daring and try something different. Don't see anything revolving that you like? You can also order from the touch screen menu and it's sent to your table at warp speed on a conveyor belt. Best of all the more you eat, the more prizes you win!
